Showtime 3.6.4 - Official Stable

UPDATE 2: Version 3.6.4 has been added. UPDATE: Version 3.6 has been taken down, and replaced with version 3.6.1. It has been sometime since the last "Stable" version of Andreas Öman's Showtime Mediacenter 3.4 was released. Well, today marks the release of the latest "Stable" build, 3.6. Since the release of Showtime 3.5.212, the application is now more stable than ever, and even supports files better than the previous releases. 

In other words, update to the latest build today and start enjoying all Showtime has to offer; including facanferff's latest plugins, Youtube 1.4 and Navi-X. Also, here is a list of all the bugs that have been fixed, and features added.

update Showtime 3.5.212 with YouTube and Navi-X plugins.

Update: Developer aldostools has created a current changelog. Andreas Öman's Showtime Mediacenter has been updated to 3.5.212. Currently, there is not change log since the last release, meaning I am not too sure to tell everyone what to make of this update. I will say that it is most likely not as stable as the official 3.4 release, but it is required if you wish to use facanferff's Showtime Plugin Youtube 1.4. 

* Also, the Youtube Plugin has been updated to v1.4, and of course, it requires the latest Showtime 3.5.212. These are the changes:

- Add: Show Feeds
- Add: Sort feeds (published, relevance, views, rating, position, comments, duration and title)

One of the most common complaints about newer versions of Windows is the slow copying speed, especially when transferring lots of files over the network. If you want to speed up your copying or if you regularly transfer large amounts of data and have to stop the process to perform some other disk-intensive task, this program may be just what you need.

TeraCopy is designed to copy and move files at the maximum possible speed. It skips bad files during the copying process, and then displays them at the end of the transfer so that you can see which ones need attention. TeraCopy can automatically check the copied files for errors by calculating their CRC checksum values. It also provides a lot more information about the files being copied than its Windows counterpart. TeraCopy integrates with Windows Explorer's right-click menu and can be set as the default copy handler.

TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce the seek times. Asynchronous copying speeds up the file transfer between two physical hard drives.

•         Pause and resume file transfer activities

Pause the copy process at any time in order to free up system resources and continue with a single click.

•        Error recovery

In case of a copy error, TeraCopy will try several times to recover and, in the worse case scenario, will simply skip the file, not terminating the entire transfer.

TeraCopy shows the failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only the problem files.

JB-King v2.51

Following the release of JB-King v2.5, the latest dongle firmware v2.51 has been released. Their team is also stating they have fixed the internal PS3 HDD wipe, as well as mentioning they support the unofficial EBOOT patches. Only time will tell if the True Blue team does the same when they release their next batch of EBOOT patches... if they do. But for now, we await a response.

True Blue (aka) JB2 - v2.61 Update Now Available

NEWS UPDATE: April 26th, 2012 -- 'True Blue' Releases v2.61 Update!

Again as newer PS3 games are being released, there is always a need to improve the operation of the 'True Blue' dongle to make sure it can still fully play all your latest games on your v3.55 PS3 Console.

Earlier this week, v2.6 was released, but due to problems with 'third-party' homebrew it was pulled, instead v2.61 has now been officially released on their site.

Remember you will need to upgrade your TB dongle for some of the newer games being released over the next few months, and if you have any freezing issues on start-up with our PS3 it is recommended to remove all 'third-party' programs like 'reACTPSN', 'Spoofers', etc. and restore to original TB CFW v2, then testing your PS3 unit out fully before attempting to re-install programs like 'reACTPSN'.

True Blue Dongle Update v2.61

1. Make sure your PS3 is running the True Blue "3.55-Dongle-DG" CFW (custom firmware)
2. Copy TrueBlueUpdate-2.61.pkg from this archive to a USB flash drive
3. Boot your PS3 _WITHOUT_ True Blue inserted, and then insert the USB flash drive
4. Navigate to (Game) -> (Install Package Files), and then select TrueBlueUpdate-2.61.pkg
5. The True Blue updater will be installed onto your PS3 HDD
6. Navigate to (Game) and load "True Blue Update v2.61"
7. The updater will start, and will then prompt you to insert the True Blue dongle. 
Insert it only at this point, and continue. Your dongle will then be updated
8. After the update procedure has completed your PS3 will reset, and you will then
be able to enjoy your updated dongle
9. You may delete the True Blue Updater from your HDD after the update is complete

A new version for the Official Testing Build of the Showtime Mediacenter has been released.

A new version of the Showtime Media Player Official Testing Build has been released for Playstation 3. So if you want to try the new features of the app you can download now the version 3.5.176. As you should guess, this is not a stable version like the official 3.4, but you can test the new features like the continuous playback.

Jailbreaking is Not a Crime

You Bought It. You Own It. - Well, not under the DMCA in the states.

Currently, the DMCA only allows 'Jailbreaking' on 'phones', but now we have Tablets, and Video Gaming, and EFF and 'Bunnie' is now fighting to have your personal rights extended to those devices

In less then week, comments will be closed, and the USA govt. will start reviewing all the facts and figures and submits and decide if they will RENEW the right to Jailbreak 'phones', or maybe in fact totally REMOVE your personal rights, or if we lucky extend it to support the new-age of Tablets running Android, not just phones, and if we really really luckly even 'Video Gaming Consoles'.

To try to make that happen the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) has been pushing hard, and now they have even got 'Bunnie Huang' in on the big fight to make 'Jailbreaking to be NOT a Crime', and he has produced a nice letter, to make it easy to sign and show the 'Copyright Office' that you wish to have the right to Jailbreak, the devices you BOUGHT and OWN.
